Willown Counselling

Stephanie Lynchuk, RSW, MISW, Indigenous Education Doctoral Candidate

My name is Stephanie Lynchuk, and I am the proud owner of Willown Counselling, located on Treaty 6 Territory in Saskatoon, SK.

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Addictions Counsellor, proudly registered under the Saskatchewan Métis Nation. I hold a Master of Indigenous Social Work and am currently a Doctoral Candidate in Indigenous Education.

Willown is more than just a counselling space—it is rooted in family. The name "Willown" is a generational name passed down from family member to family member, and everything in our space is a reflection of kinship, connection, and belonging. It serves as a meaningful conversation piece to help us get to know one another.

I strive to create and foster holistic relationships that promote healing, balance, and personal growth. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental, trauma-informed, and culturally safe environment where clients feel supported, empowered, and comfortable in their journey.

I work with individuals, couples, families, and communities, offering support in areas such as:

  • Intergenerational Trauma

  • Grief & Loss

  • Mental Health & Addictions

  • Relationships & Boundaries

I integrate a Two-Eyed Seeing approach, combining:

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

  • Holistic Indigenous Modalities

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Family Systems Therapy

Registered Provider for:

  • NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits)

  • Victim Services

  • Ministry of Social Services (MSS)

I also direct bill to most major insurance companies. I understand that financial situations vary, so I am happy to discuss flexible options based on individual needs.

Let’s work together to build strong, holistic relationships and promote well-being through meaningful connection and healing.

Maverick, can be seen around the Willown office.

He is a 2.5 year old GoldenDoodle.

Maverick, is trying to complete his prerequisites to become a registered service dog. It is a lot of hard work for a doodle, especially when he loves to play and snuggle.

We may just have to accept that he is better off being a lap doodle who loves to chew toys, bones and love up on people. He’s really good at his job :)

Next time you are in the office and see Maverick, make sure to say hi .
